Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and govern engineering processes and process models
  • Support integration of processes across design, production and support lifecycle stages
  • Define and map processes (e.g. SIPOCs) to capability frameworks
  • Ensure alignment with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Support audits, gap analysis, KPI development and CAPA activities
  • Drive standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop process documentation, training and onboarding materials
  • Support engineering governance forums and cross-functional working groups
  • Provide oversight and support to Technical Design Reviews (TDRs)
  • Enable effective process strategy and design practice integration across programmes

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in process engineering and governance
  • Proven ability to develop and document engineering processes and frameworks
  • Experience supporting audits, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of engineering lifecycle (design, production, support, maintenance)
  • Experience working with QMS frameworks (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Familiarity with PLM, ERP or MOM systems
  • Understanding of UK defence standards (DEF STAN, JSP)
  • Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE / SysML) (desirable)

Process Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support engineering governance, process improvement and compliance across complex, highly regulated programmes within defence and aerospace environments. You will play a key role in ensuring robust, standardised and auditable engineering processes , supporting delivery across the full product lifecycle — from development and design through to production, support and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in process engineering, quality systems and systems engineering integration , who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
