- Maximise capital and operating cost efficiencies while maintaining HSE excellence.
- Support plant operations with technical troubleshooting.
- Provide specialist process engineering expertise to project teams and production managers.
- Act as process owner for assigned manufacturing areas.
- Challenge established processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Take part in cross-functional manufacturing support teams.
- Deliver scientific work programs safely and efficiently across Syngenta sites.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Quality.
- Engage with global Syngenta functions to share and adopt best practices.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- Working towards or holding Chartered Engineering status (CEng).
- 2+ years of practical process engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Experience in capital project or change execution.
- Strong theoretical and practical chemical engineering knowledge.
- Competence with process simulation and design tools.
- Experience with HSE risk assessment methodologies (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).
- Experience in agrochemical or specialty chemical manufacturing (desirable).
- Familiarity with batch processing operations (desirable).
- Project management experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (DSEAR, COMAH, PER, etc.) (desirable).
