Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver process improvement programs for Active Ingredients / Formulation Fill & Pack capital projects.
  • Maximise capital and operating cost efficiencies while maintaining HSE excellence.
  • Support plant operations with technical troubleshooting.
  • Provide specialist process engineering expertise to project teams and production managers.
  • Act as process owner for assigned manufacturing areas.
  • Challenge established processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Take part in cross-functional manufacturing support teams.
  • Deliver scientific work programs safely and efficiently across Syngenta sites.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Quality.
  • Engage with global Syngenta functions to share and adopt best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Engineering status (CEng).
  • 2+ years of practical process engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in capital project or change execution.
  • Strong theoretical and practical chemical engineering knowledge.
  • Competence with process simulation and design tools.
  • Experience with HSE risk assessment methodologies (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).
  • Experience in agrochemical or specialty chemical manufacturing (desirable).
  • Familiarity with batch processing operations (desirable).
  • Project management experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (DSEAR, COMAH, PER, etc.) (desirable).
