Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and govern engineering processes and process models across multiple engineering value streams.
- Support integration of engineering processes within the wider client Process Management framework.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to map processes, capabilities, process architectures, and operational workflows.
- Ensure compliance with the client’s enterprise procedures, ISO 9001, AS9100, and applicable UK defence and military regulatory standards.
- Support engineering audits, gap analyses, KPI monitoring, and process compliance activities.
- Drive process standardisation, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering governance alignment across teams.
- Produce and maintain process documentation, communications, onboarding materials, and training guidance.
- Support Engineering Process Councils, working groups, and governance forums while acting as an interface with Quality Assurance teams.
- Assist with Technical Design Review (TDR) governance and engineering design practice integration across programmes.
- Support implementation of engineering process effectiveness strategies and operational governance improvements.
Key Skills:

Operating within the Engineering Management framework and reporting to the Head of Safety, Airworthiness and Speciality Engineering, the role supports the delivery of safe, compliant, and mission-capable engineering outcomes across land, sea, air, and digital domains.
Role Overview:
The Process Engineer will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving engineering process governance within the client’s enterprise engineering framework. The position focuses on ensuring engineering activities remain aligned with client’s standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), military regulatory frameworks, and best practice across the full engineering lifecycle. The role combines elements of engineering governance, process integration, systems engineering lifecycle support, and digital engineering, helping to ensure consistent, auditable, and efficient engineering delivery across development, design, production, support, and maintenance activities.
