Summary: The Power BI Developer role in Birmingham involves designing and delivering enterprise-grade Power BI solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making within a leading organization undergoing digital transformation. The position requires expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform and a focus on user adoption through training and workshops. The contract is for three months, with an immediate start date and an inside IR35 classification.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade Power BI and Power Platform solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
- Architect scalable Power BI solutions, including semantic models, optimised datasets, and intuitive dashboards.
- Develop integrated Power Platform applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Lead on data modelling best practices, DAX optimisation, and performance tuning across the BI ecosystem.
- Drive user adoption through workshops, training, and the development of self-service analytics capabilities.
- Oversee governance frameworks including workspace management, content certification, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BI solutions with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and enterprise systems.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering enterprise Power BI solutions with strong DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling skills.
- Hands-on experience across the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Solid understanding of BI principles, KPI design, and data visualisation best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments with strong stakeholder communication and engagement skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of Git-based version control and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, PL-400, or DP-600.
