Summary: The Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Lead will oversee the Finance workstream in a high-profile transformation programme, focusing on the implementation of Oracle Fusion Finance. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and solution design expertise, along with experience in leading functional teams. The position is a 6-month contract with hybrid working arrangements, including weekly travel within the UK. The successful candidate will ensure best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance functional workstream for an Oracle Fusion implementation.
  • Drive solution design workshops and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across Oracle Fusion Financials modules.
  • Oversee configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), data migration, and cutover activities.
  • Manage and mentor functional consultants within the Finance stream.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies within the Finance track.
  • Support governance, reporting, and programme steering meetings.
  • Ensure best practice alignment with Oracle Fusion capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Functional Lead on at least one end-to-end Oracle Fusion Finance implementation.
  • Strong functional knowledge of key modules such as: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Expenses.
  • Experience running design workshops and managing senior Finance stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C).
  • Experience managing offshore/onshore teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Lead to join a high-profile transformation programme. This is a 6-month contract role, Hybrid working with travel to client sites within the UK. The successful candidate will take ownership of the Finance workstream, providing functional leadership across the full lifecycle of an Oracle Fusion Finance implementation. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, solution design expertise, and experience leading functional teams. Previous project management exposure would be highly advantageous.
