Summary: The Network Engineer role involves designing carrier-grade network solutions while adhering to client standards and utilizing service provider technologies. The position requires strong documentation skills and effective communication to manage project risks and updates. Additional knowledge in automation and load balancing technologies is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design carrier-grade network solutions for projects, complying with client design standards.
- Utilize service provider technologies for routing, switching, and security.
- Produce documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) artifacts.
- Communicate risks, obtain sign-offs, escalate issues, and provide weekly project updates.
- Work with Next Generation firewall technologies, specifically Fortigate Firewalls.
- Understand distributed hardware architecture and work with Nokia 7750.
- Implement and manage protocols such as ISIS, MPLS, RSVP, TE, Hierarchical QOS, LACP, and BGP.

Job Description:
- Experience working for a Service Provider
- Competent in designing carrier grade network solutions for projects, complying with client design standards
- Good experience with service provider technologies for supporting carrier routing, switching and security
- Strong understanding of Reliability matrix, availability matrix, longevity of design, commercial aspect of solutions
- Demonstrable document writing skills in producing artefacts such as HLD and LLD, presentation and technical diagrams as part of project engagements
- Possess excellent communication skills to convey Risks, obtain sign-off, timely escalate issues to management, and send weekly project updates
- Exposure to Next Generation firewall technologies i.e. Fortigate Firewalls
- Strong understanding of distributed hardware architecture and hands-on experience with Nokia 7750
- Strong experience on ISIS, MPLS, RSVP, TE, Hierarchical QOS, LACP, BGP
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Python and GIT to manage configuration templates and develop Automation solutions
