Summary: The Network Architect role focuses on leveraging deep expertise in Juniper technologies to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN solutions. This hands-on position requires collaboration with customer IT and security teams to ensure compliance and performance while managing multi-vendor environments. The role also involves conducting network assessments and developing comprehensive technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in network architecture and a commitment to professional development in Juniper certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop network architecture strategies and technology roadmaps for Juniper SD-WAN, MIST AI, and Junos LAN solutions aligned with business and IT objectives.
- Collaborate closely with customer IT and security teams to ensure solutions meet operational, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Lead configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Juniper SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN platforms.
- Monitor overall network performance at a high level, proactively identifying improvement opportunities and resolving architectural gaps.
- Manage and optimize multi-vendor WAN environments with multi-protocol routing (EIGRP, BGP4, OSPF, etc.).
- Conduct network assessments, provide architectural recommendations, and document findings.
- Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and comprehensive technical solution documentation.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 yrs of hands-on experience in network design and architecture.
- Strong expertise in Juniper technologies, including Junos OS (Switching & Routing), Juniper SD-WAN Solutions, and Juniper MIST Wireless & MIST AI Platform.
- Proven experience managing multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, HP, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki, and others.
- Hands-on experience with L3 & modular switches, routers and firewalls, WAN optimizers, and Access Points & Wireless LAN Controllers (including centralized dashboards).
- Deep understanding of multi-protocol routing (EIGRP, BGP4, OSPF).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience conducting network assessments and structured documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
