  • Maintain development environments for the applications using Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain documentation for any updates to these systems.
  • Ensure software quality and performance through testing and optimization.
  • Ensure that the source code is controlled and that any updates follow the relevant governance.
  • Support the redevelopment of a number of legacy applications.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to defined coding standards.
  • Transition any additional applications from a third party vendor to the organisations support and development.
  • Advise on knowledge transfer strategies with third party vendors.

Harvey Nash's public sector client are currently looking to recruit a Senior .Net Developer to join their team based in Edinburgh for an initial 12 month period.

Essential Skills:

  • Work closely with other members of CDi to support a number of applications across the organisation. These applications cover both modern cloud based applications and some more legacy on-prem applications
  • Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, product owners, business analysts, UI/UX and test teams, to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Contribute to software development projects, providing architectural input when required
  • Provide BAU support for main applications including minor enhancements to ensure that the applications meet current legislation
  • Maintain development environments for the applications using Azure DevOps
  • Maintain documentation for any updates to these systems including run manuals, wikis, and high level/low level technical design documents
  • Ensure software quality and performance through testing and optimization
  • Ensure that the source code is controlled and that any updates follow the relevant governance (CAB, Architecture review etc)
  • Support the redevelopment of a number of legacy applications
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to defined coding standards
  • Transition any additional applications from a third party vendor to the organisations support and development as required
  • Advise on knowledge transfer strategies with third party vendors to ensure a smooth transition
