Summary: SALT is seeking a Senior Marketing Science professional to lead the transition from correlation-based reporting to causal decision-making within a global SaaS company. This role will centralize measurement strategies, utilizing Marketing Mix Modelling, Data Clean Rooms, and experimentation to enhance marketing investment decisions. The position is hybrid and based in London, offered as a 12-month contract. The role is classified as inside IR35 and involves a daily rate of £380.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate MMM outputs into clear budget allocation and marginal ROI recommendations; support forecasting and investment optimisation discussions with senior stakeholders
- Lead clean room analytics (e.g. Meta AA), using advanced SQL to connect first-party data with media exposure and develop high-value audience insights
- Own the learning agenda, designing and executing conversion and brand lift studies, defining test frameworks, and synthesising results into best practices
- Educate teams on causal measurement, moving focus from vanity metrics to true incremental value; communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Key Skills:
- 5+ years in marketing science, analytics, or econometrics roles
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science)
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong experience with MMM and causal modelling concepts (e.g. Bayesian methods, adstock, saturation)
- Hands-on experience with experimentation and statistical testing; clean room experience preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable stories for senior stakeholders
