Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 12-month maternity cover position based in Teesside, offering hybrid working arrangements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the monthly preparation and reporting of financial performance, including analysis, interpretation and clear commentary against budget and forecast.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and conducting balance sheet reviews with the finance team.
- Supporting the monthly forecast process and contributing to the creation of the annual budget.
- Working closely with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to ensure timely resolution of queries and issues.
- Providing departments with clear, insightful financial data to support informed business decisions, including interpretation and explanation where required.
- Supporting both internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.
Key Skills:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience within a busy finance function.
- Up-to-date IFRS knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- SAP ERP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.
