Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 12-month maternity cover position based in Teesside, offering hybrid working arrangements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the monthly preparation and reporting of financial performance, including analysis, interpretation and clear commentary against budget and forecast.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and conducting balance sheet reviews with the finance team.
  • Supporting the monthly forecast process and contributing to the creation of the annual budget.
  • Working closely with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to ensure timely resolution of queries and issues.
  • Providing departments with clear, insightful financial data to support informed business decisions, including interpretation and explanation where required.
  • Supporting both internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.

Key Skills:

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience within a busy finance function.
  • Up-to-date IFRS knowledge.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.
