Summary: Butler Rose is seeking a Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract with a growing business. The role involves overseeing day-to-day financial operations and contributing to the company's success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Prepare, finalise and report accurate and timely month-end financial reports, including journals, P&L's, accruals and prepayments.
  • Work closely with the company Director, providing insight into financial performance, supporting decision-making, and contributing to business planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline existing finance processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • A strong background in month-end.
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of the finance function.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Experience using accounting software and proficient in Excel.
  • Qualified, PQ, QBE or AAT qualified would be advantageous.

Salary (Rate): £55,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on accounts professional to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in the company's continued success. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across all areas of the finance function. As the business continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering excellent scope for development and increased responsibility. *This position has the opportunity to go permanent after completing a successful FTC. WFH one day a week - free parking on site.
