Summary: The role of Senior Software Developer (SC Cleared) involves supporting the delivery of complex digital services in a secure environment. The position requires collaboration within an engineering team to build scalable Back End systems using modern JVM technologies. The successful candidate will engage in technical discussions and champion quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD). This role is primarily remote with occasional onsite attendance required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable Back End services using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and delivery teams in an agile environment.
- Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following TDD principles.
- Participate in pair programming and peer review activities.
- Support the delivery of high-quality digital services within government or similarly regulated environments.
- Promote engineering best practices across the wider team.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
