Summary: The Investment Product Manager role focuses on product governance within a UK wealth and asset management firm, emphasizing Consumer Duty, Product Governance, and Fair Value Assessments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the Product Governance framework for investment products and services, including funds, model portfolios, segregated mandates and execution-only solutions.
  • Lead Periodic Product Reviews (PPRs) and Fair Value Assessments (FVAs) in line with PROD and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Define and maintain target market assessments, distribution strategies and product oversight documentation.
  • Act as the primary interface between Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Distribution on governance matters.
  • Ensure clear escalation, remediation and tracking of product risks, issues and actions through appropriate governance forums.
  • Develop and maintain MI and dashboards evidencing good customer outcomes, with a strong understanding of cost-to-serve and product economics.
  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting investment products, including Consumer Duty, PROD, MiFID, COLL, AIFMD and relevant sustainability regimes (SDR, SFDR where applicable).
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews and internal assurance activity relating to product governance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes, controls and documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in Investment Product Governance, Product Oversight or Product Management within UK wealth or asset management.
  • Hands-on delivery of PPRs, FVAs and Consumer Duty MI.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment structures (funds, model portfolios, segregated accounts, custody and execution).
  • Deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks affecting investment products.
  • Experience working across first and second line functions.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and translate it into governance outcomes.

Investment Product Manager – Wealth Management (Governance & Consumer Duty) An excellent opportunity to join a highly rated UK wealth and asset management business in a senior product governance role, with accountability for Consumer Duty, Product Governance, Periodic Product Reviews and Fair Value Assessments across an established investment proposition. This role sits at the intersection of product, risk, compliance and customer outcomes . It is not a delivery PM role and not a portfolio management role.
