Summary: The role of Interim HR Manager is a hands-on, operational position focused on stabilizing and strengthening HR operations within a three-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will provide strong on-site leadership, manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters, and support the existing HR team and line managers. This position requires an experienced HR professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of employee relations (ER) matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues
- Leading on absence management, ensuring policies are applied consistently and effectively
- Providing on-site HR management and visibility, acting as a trusted advisor to managers
- Coaching and supporting the current HR team to embed good practice and build confidence
- Supporting line managers to improve capability and consistency in people management
- Identifying opportunities to embed and improve HR processes and behaviours
Key Skills:
- Strong operational HR experience, ideally at HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level
- Confidence in managing ER cases end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Comfortable being on-site and visible, working closely with managers
- Experience coaching HR teams and line managers
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice
- Commitment to a 3-month fixed-term contract
- Experience in fast-paced or change environments is an advantage
