Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear direction, mentoring, and structure to the finance function
  • Act as a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Review and improve end-to-end finance processes
  • Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance
  • Oversee cash management, working capital, and treasury activities
  • Drive process automation and efficiency improvements where appropriate
  • Partner with operational and sales teams to drive profitability and performance
  • Develop and enhance pricing models, contract profitability analysis, and margin tracking
  • Provide actionable insights on revenue, cost drivers, and business performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader in an interim capacity
  • Strong background in both transactional finance and commercial finance
  • Experience in operational or asset-heavy environments would be ideal
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to “roll up sleeves” when needed
  • Experience with finance systems and process automation
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
