Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance team, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
- Provide clear direction, mentoring, and structure to the finance function
- Act as a key member of the senior leadership team
- Review and improve end-to-end finance processes
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance
- Oversee cash management, working capital, and treasury activities
- Drive process automation and efficiency improvements where appropriate
- Partner with operational and sales teams to drive profitability and performance
- Develop and enhance pricing models, contract profitability analysis, and margin tracking
- Provide actionable insights on revenue, cost drivers, and business performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Evaluate capital expenditure
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts
- Improve quality and clarity of financial reporting and KPIs
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Support audit processes and statutory compliance
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader in an interim capacity
- Strong background in both transactional finance and commercial finance
- Experience in operational or asset-heavy environments would be ideal
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Hands-on approach with the ability to “roll up sleeves” when needed
- Experience with finance systems and process automation
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
