Summary: The Interim Finance Analyst role is a 3-month contract position aimed at supporting a finance transformation programme within a large, private equity-backed services business. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of post-qualification experience and will focus on data management, reporting, and process improvement during a busy period of change. Responsibilities include budgeting support, finance process upgrades, and month-end reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to partner with operational teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the budgeting cycle and help roll forward forecast models for the next reporting calendar.
- Assist with upgrades to finance processes as part of the transformation programme.
- Help migrate legacy Excel reports into Power BI and support the move to a Single Source of Truth.
- Provide accurate month-end reporting and P&L analysis across a multisite, labour-heavy operation.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners to challenge forecasts, accruals, and contract performance.
- Deliver variance analysis, identify risks/opportunities, and support preparation of business review materials.
- Offer additional capacity during a period of heavy workload and organisational change.
Key Skills:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
- Strong Excel and systems/reporting capability; Power BI advantageous.
- Experience in services, B2B, multisite, or contract-based environments helpful.
- Analytical, confident working with data, and comfortable partnering with operational teams.
Salary (Rate): £400 daily

We’re supporting a large, private equity backed UK-wide people and services business that is mid-way through a major Finance Transformation Programme. The team needs an interim Finance Analyst to provide additional bandwidth during a busy period of change. This is ideal for someone 2–4 years post-qualification who is strong with data, reporting, and process improvement. The role is a blend of backfill support and transformation work.
