Sewell Wallis are looking to recruit a Financial Analyst for a 6-month fixed term contract to work through a backlog of intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations for a global professional services business in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This Financial Analyst role will sit autonomously within the finance team to work on an intercompany and balance sheet project, which involves a significant backlog of transactions. You'll be working forensically to ascertain errors, duplication's, and clean up the data, to allow for accurate understanding and use of the information. You'll need to be able to manipulate and manage large data sets using excel, so advanced excel skills are essential for this role.
What will you be doing?
- Working with the team to understand and review a backlog of historic intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reconciliation.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Business partnering with project leaders, directors and group finance
- Utilising excel to manipulate and understand large data sets to then create digestible and useful information.

- Evidence of experience in a similar role, with proven success
- Analytical mind, someone who enjoys making sense of large data sets
- Strong communication skills to liaise with project leaders and company directors
- Excellent Excel skills - V-lookups, Sumifs etc.
