Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and coordinate HR projects related to the Council’s workforce strategy and HR service delivery.
  • Develop HR programmes of work to support the HR team and deliver the Council’s workforce strategy.
  • Manage projects to deliver agreed outputs, ensuring alignment with business and team strategy.
  • Manage internal teams to meet project obligations on time and within budget.
  • Identify, plan for, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Analyze people-related data and provide appropriate analysis.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in planning and executing projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Experience in undertaking HR project work to meet business needs.
  • Research skills in HR-related areas with the ability to identify appropriate data sources.
  • Knowledge of the HR function in relation to research and project support.

Our local authority client based in North London are urgently seeking an experienced HR Project Officer.

*£32.22 an hour Umbrella

Key responsibilities

  • To undertake and co-ordinate HR projects on any topic related to the Council’s workforcestrategy and HR service delivery to meet the Council’s business needs. This couldinclude policy development, procurement, employee engagement initiatives ordigitalisation projects across the HR team.
  • Develop HR programmes of work to support activity across the HR team designed todeliver the Council’s workforce strategy, meeting current and anticipated future peoplerelated business needs.
  • Managing the project to deliver agreed outputs, ensuring they remain aligned to businessand team strategy, are within the original scope and on target.
  • Managing internal teams to deliver project obligations to time and to budget bydeveloping relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Identify, plan for and manage to resolution project risks, issues and dependencies,including timely escalation in an appropriate manner and contingency planning whenrequired. Analyse people related data and provide appropriate analysis.

Qualifications, Experinece & Skills

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience of applying project management disciplines.
  • Experience of planning and executing projects of varying size and complexity. Develop project plans for delivery of defined project outcomes with agreed timescales.
  • Experience of undertaking HR items of project work to meet business needs.
  • Carrying out research in HR related areas and identify appropriate and accessible sources of quantitative and qualitative data or information to meet the research needs.
  • Knowledge of the HR function in relation to carrying out research and working on projects, supporting HR initiatives related to service delivery.
