As a part of a multidisciplinary actuarial team working across both company and syndicate, the main role is to assist the team with driving further development of the Actuarial function through business-as-usual activities as well as project work. It is envisaged this role will mainly be focused on actuarial pricing but can also encompass some aspects of portfolio management, business planning, cat modelling and outwards reinsurance analysis. The jobholder will have strong technical interest and excellent communication skills. This opportunity will provide a successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to gain a wide range of experience and industry knowledge in a dynamic working environment. Some of the key areas of responsibility are as follows; Work closely with underwriters, underwriting management, exposure management/cat modelling and other members of the actuarial pricing team to develop and maintain appropriate pricing tools for multiple lines of business. Technical pricing of portfolio risks (such as binders or MGAs) and large single risks, providing insightful analysis to underwriters through clear communication, with a focus on improving profitability. Help enhance management information and reporting within the division, to Lloyd's and SCOR Group to meet regulatory requirements and drive key decisions within the business, monitoring key performance indicators such as risk adjusted rate change. Assist in the division having a joined-up view of the actuarial control cycle by contributing to other aspects of the actuarial function including reserving, business planning, capital modelling, cat modelling and outward reinsurance purchase processes. Assist in the review of key insurance and economic assumptions for all actuarial tasks.
