Summary: The role of Business Architect focuses on supporting a financial services organization in enhancing risk and compliance processes within their Financial Crime function. This position emphasizes practical process design and operational detail rather than high-level strategy, requiring close collaboration with senior compliance stakeholders. The engagement is fast-paced and involves defining controls and governance while analyzing existing operational processes. The contract is for an initial period of six months with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the definition and enhancement of controls, processes, and governance across the Financial Crime function.
  • Analyze existing operational processes and identify gaps.
  • Shape practical solutions aligned to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, including Compliance and MLRO functions.
  • Define and document controls frameworks.
  • Engage in process definition and mapping.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience within Financial Services.
  • Knowledge and experience in Financial Crime.
  • Experience working across Risk & Compliance functions.
  • Strong process definition and mapping experience.

Business Architect - Up to £900 p/d

We're supporting a leading financial services organisation, who are looking for a strong Business Architect to support a key risk & compliance workstream within their Financial Crime function.

This is a fast-paced engagement focused on controls definition, process design, and operational detail working closely with senior compliance stakeholders and the MLRO function. The role is less focused on high-level TOM strategy, and far more centred around putting structure, detail, and practical process design in place.

Up to £750-£900 p/d (via umbrella)

6 month initial contract

Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite in London

The Role:

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, and Financial Crime, you'll support the definition and enhancement of controls, processes, and governance across the function. The role will involve analysing existing operational processes, identifying gaps, and helping shape practical solutions aligned to regulatory and compliance requirements.

Experience needed:

  • Strong experience within Financial Services
  • Strong experience and knowledge within Financial Crime
  • Experience working across Risk & Compliance functions
  • Strong process definition/process mapping experience
  • Experience defining and documenting controls frameworks
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, including Compliance and MLRO functions
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Previous Business Architect experience
