Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of management accounts and posting journals.
- Supporting statutory accounts and assisting with quarterly reporting cycles.
- Ownership of key balance sheet and cash reconciliations.
- Preparation of supporting schedules and analysis.
- Collaboration with the finance team for accurate and timely reporting.
- Support cashflow and funding reporting.
- Assist with board pack preparation.
- Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders across Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.

A high-profile FTSE-listed property business is recruiting a Financial Accountant to join its Group Financial Reporting team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role requires someone who can step into a hands-on reporting environment quickly and support key finance processes during a busy reporting period. The successful candidate will join a high-performing finance function within a complex listed environment and will support a broad range of financial reporting, management accounting and control activities across the Group.
Responsibilities will include preparation of management accounts, posting journals, supporting statutory accounts and assisting with quarterly reporting cycles. The role will also involve ownership of key balance sheet and cash reconciliations, preparation of supporting schedules and analysis, and working closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting. In addition, you will support cashflow and funding reporting, assist with board pack preparation and liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders across Treasury, Tax and FP&A. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating across both financial reporting and BAU finance activities in a fast-paced environment. The business is looking for a qualified accountant who can contribute from day one and work independently where required. Candidates should ideally have prior industry experience within a group finance, financial accounting or reporting role, with practical experience preparing management accounts, posting journals and supporting statutory reporting processes. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Immediate or short-notice availability will be highly advantageous.
