Summary: This Finance Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to join a prominent international cultural organization during a transformative phase. The role involves significant responsibilities in financial planning, reporting, and controls, directly supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership and contribute to the development of a newly formed finance team. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust budget and forecast models based on agreed assumptions
- Prepare management accounts, variance analysis and clear commentary for senior stakeholders
- Support internal and external reporting requirements, including structured submissions to international stakeholders
- Act as key business partner for the organisation providing insightful reports for stakeholders
- Provide scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform operational and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with finance and non-finance colleagues to gather data and improve reporting accuracy
- Contribute to process improvements, automation and strengthening financial controls
- Support financial planning cycles in a fast-evolving environment
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role
- Strong experience managing budgeting and forecasting processes
- Advanced Excel skills with excellent analytical capability
- An ability to 'deep-dive' and analyse issues in a methodical and proactive way
- Experience working with finance systems undergoing change (Xero experience desirable)
- Confident presenting financial information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders
- Proactive, organised and able to meet deadlines in a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

This Financial Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised cultural organisation at a pivotal time of transformation. With a £10m turnover and a newly formed finance team, this position will play a key role in strengthening financial planning, reporting, and controls while supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership, you will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, while helping to improve systems and processes within a developing finance function.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but ambitious finance team that is undergoing restructure and modernisation. This role is initially 6 month contract but could well be extended or go permanent.
