Summary: The Finance Analyst role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in London, requiring a commercially minded individual to join a multinational infrastructure group's finance team. The position involves significant interaction with senior stakeholders and focuses on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting within a complex international environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
- Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis on business performance, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Assist in the production of management reporting packs, providing clear and concise commentary for stakeholders
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers and improve forecast accuracy
- Support month-end close processes, ensuring actuals are accurately reflected in reporting and forecasting models
- Build and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Assist with the ongoing improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to senior finance and management teams as required
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Background in audit or financial reporting is advantageous
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial data clearly
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Strong Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems is beneficial
