Summary: The Enterprise Solution Architect role requires a specialist to manage the migration of a payment engine, ensuring seamless communication between legacy Mainframe systems and modern platforms. The position involves leading architectural decisions, mastering payment schemes, and enforcing compliance controls to guarantee a flawless migration process. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in payments flow and ISO 20022 standards, along with a proven leadership background in large-scale transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the 'Strangler Fig' migration of legacy payments, defining data architecture, extraction logic, and target mappings.
- Act as the SME for UK and International schemes including BACS, FPS, SWIFT (ISO 20022 / MX), and SEPA.
- Design and enforce CISA-aligned audit frameworks and CASS regulatory controls to ensure zero-loss migration.
- Build executable solutions within existing technical constraints while navigating the realities of Mainframe systems.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrated design leadership across the full lifecycle: Gateway/Connectivity (MQ, SWIFT), Core Processing Logic, and Downstream Reconciliation.
- Direct experience with MT-to-MX translation and the November 2026 structured address enforcement standards.
- Proven track record in PMI (Post-Merger Integration) or similar large-scale payments transformation programmes.

Core Responsibilities
