Summary: As the Enterprise Architecture Tooling Lead, you will oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of a financial institution's enterprise architecture tooling platform. This hands-on role requires technical leadership in platform operations and automation development, while also focusing on knowledge transfer to ensure long-term platform ownership. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance capabilities and support strategic architecture objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and configure enterprise architecture tooling platforms (including BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio) to support business requirements
- Manage platform architecture, client deployments, server infrastructure, and environment configurations (production, test, development)
- Perform platform upgrades, patch management, and version control following established change management procedures
- Configure and maintain metamodel structures, element types, relationships, and property schemas in accordance with ArchiMate standards
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisation measures
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using platform-specific Scripting languages and APIs
- Create custom viewpoints, dashboards, and reporting solutions to meet stakeholder requirements
- Build and maintain automated reporting workflows, including strategic planning extracts and PowerPoint generation
- Implement version control for scripts and automation artefacts, ensuring code quality through testing and peer review
- Document script libraries with comprehensive usage instructions and technical specifications
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for enterprise architecture tooling capabilities
- Deliver comprehensive knowledge transfer to client team members on platform operations and scripting
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to client staff and junior TechX team members
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Engage with vendor technical support for complex issues, managing escalations and facilitating resolution
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including configuration guides, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams
- Develop and update knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and frequently asked questions
- Create training materials and deliver knowledge transfer sessions
- Establish and maintain documentation standards and templates for consistency

Role PurposeAs Enterprise Architecture Tooling Lead, you will be responsible for leading the administration, configuration, and optimisation of a major financial institution's enterprise architecture tooling platform ecosystem. This role provides technical leadership in platform operations, automation development, and knowledge transfer whilst ensuring the tooling environment supports the organisation's strategic architecture objectives.
