Summary: The Email Marketing Officer role at a youth advocacy charity involves leading email marketing campaigns to enhance the charity's profile and boost engagement with its services. This position is a 10-month maternity cover, requiring expertise in email marketing strategies and data management. The officer will manage the email marketing calendar, create targeted campaigns, and analyze engagement metrics to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day email marketing calendar.
- Prepare email marketing data for targeted marketing emails using the CRM, ensuring correct personalisation of emails.
- Create and send centralised marketing emails and newsletters including use of dynamic content, segmentation techniques, A/B testing.
- Monitor email marketing trends whilst supporting ideas for the charity’s online marketing campaigns.
- Monitor email activity to ensure open, click to open and unsubscribes rates remain within the organisation’s agreed parameters.
- Report on email engagement rates to understand which customers are most and least engaged with our email activity.
Key Skills:
- Experience of planning, creating and delivering targeted email marketing campaigns.
- Hands-on experience using a marketing automation platform (e.g. Account Engagement Email (Pardot), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, Dot Mailer or similar).
- Skilled in audience segmentation for targeted communications within a regulated or data-sensitive environment.
- Confident managing marketing data within a CRM system, including data cleansing and de-duplication.
- Proven record of monitoring and reporting on campaign performance metrics.
- Knowledge of email marketing best practice, including segmentation, automation, personalisation, A/B testing, and optimisation techniques.
- Understanding of email performance metrics and how to interpret data to inform improvements.

The charity is looking for an Email Marketing Officer on a 10-month maternity cover basis.
