Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI to develop and deploy advanced machine learning solutions. The role requires strong expertise in predictive modeling, NLP, and MLOps, with a focus on working onsite in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with data engineers and cloud architects to create robust data pipelines and feature stores. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy scalable ML models using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, and AI Platform Pipelines.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights and predictive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Cloud Architects to ensure robust data pipelines and feature stores on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Implement MLOps best practices using Vertex AI Pipelines, Cloud Build, and Cloud Functions.
  • Evaluate, fine-tune, and optimize models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Communicate findings through dashboards, data visualizations, and reports to business stakeholders.
  • Stay current on Google Cloud Platform AI/ML innovations, LLM advancements, and AutoML tools.

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years total experience in data science or applied machine learning.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Experience in model training, tuning, deployment, and monitoring in a cloud-native environment.
  • Strong background in statistics, data wrangling, and feature engineering.
  • Exposure to LLMs, GenAI, or AutoML within Vertex AI is a plus.
