Summary: The Data Protection Lead at South London and Maudsley NHS FT is responsible for overseeing privacy compliance and ensuring data security across the Trust. This role involves leading Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and managing data processing agreements while promoting privacy by design in new projects. The position is full-time, hybrid, and offers a pay rate of £29.78 per hour, with potential for higher rates based on holiday pay. The contract duration is between 3 to 6 months, with a possibility of extension up to 1 year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead privacy assessments for new and existing service and system developments
- Develop, implement, and monitor data processing and sharing agreements
- Coordinate and manage DPIAs to ensure privacy compliance
- Manage incident processes and escalate as needed
Key Skills:
- Experience in data protection and privacy impact assessments
- Strong understanding of GDPR, Data Protection Act, and privacy principles
- Experience with data processing agreements and privacy notices
- NHS experience is desirable
