Summary: The Data Protection Lead role involves supporting the Data Protection Manager in ensuring compliance with data protection legislation within a Housing Association. The position requires a subject matter expert to lead initiatives aimed at meeting upcoming compliance requirements and improving incident management processes. The role is hybrid, requiring one day a week in the Camden office and four days remote work. The contract is temporary, lasting for three months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead work to meet upcoming data protection complaint requirements (June deadline), including reviewing policies, procedures, and hybrid complaint handling processes
- Drive improvements and efficiencies in incident and breach management, including reporting and use of a privacy management platform
- Lead the review and update of privacy notices across multiple websites and services
- Support assurance activities to ensure policies, procedures, and notices remain compliant and up to date
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UK data protection and privacy legislation
- Proven experience applying data protection principles in an operational environment
- Experience within Housing or a similar regulated sector is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and influence best practice

About You
Strong knowledge of UK data protection and privacy legislation
