Summary: The Data Platform Engineer role focuses on building and operating data platforms with expertise in Azure Services, Synapse Spark Architecture, ADF, and Terraform. Key Responsibilities:
- Building and operating data platforms as a Data Platform Engineer.
- Designing and delivering complex cloud solutions using Azure Services.
- Deploying Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and managing Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Working with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and configuring network options.
- Handling large-scale data efficiently and managing platform migration projects.
- Showcasing DevOps and CI/CD capabilities.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Services and Data Platforms.
- Terraform Associate (004) certification and Azure DevOps certification (AZ-400).
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse Analytics Spark.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault and Data Lake Storage Accounts.
- Ability to design and deploy infrastructure.
- Understanding of Synapse Spark Architecture and familiarity with Apache Spark technologies.

My client is an instantly recognisable firm who urgently require a Data Platform Engineer with core strengths in Building and Operating Data Platforms, and hands on expertise in Azure Services, Synapse Spark Architecture, ADF and Terraform (IaC), to assist in designing and delivering complex cloud solutions.
Key Requirements:
Proven, hands-on experience of Building and Operating Data Platforms as a Data Platform Engineer
Deep understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines and deploying Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Terraform Associate (004) certification/Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional
AZ-400 Azure DevOps certification
Advanced knowledge of Azure Services
Demonstrable experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including network configurations and integration runtime options
Strong expertise in Synapse Analytics Spark, Azure Key Vault, and Data Lake Storage Accounts
Ability to showcase DevOps and CI/CD capabilities
Working knowledge of designing and deploying infrastructure
Experience in efficient handling of large-scale data
Proven experience in Platform Migration projects and delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions
Nice to have:
Understanding of Synapse Spark Architecture
Familiarity with a variety of technologies including Apache Spark, Spark ML, Serverless Spark Pools, T-SQL, ETL
