Summary: The Cyber Security Project Manager will oversee various project management tasks related to complex security initiatives, including preparing agendas, scheduling meetings, and tracking project financials. This role requires managing medium to large size projects independently while collaborating with diverse teams across multiple business units and cultures. The candidate will also be responsible for reporting on project health and escalating risks to stakeholders. A strong background in project management and security methodologies is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teams with various project management tasks related to complex security initiatives.
  • Prepare agendas, schedule meetings, create project plans, track project financials (actuals versus budgets), monitor and update project tasks and risks as assigned.
  • Report on project health for each assigned project.
  • Escalate risks and blocking issues to program manager, project team and sponsors.
  • Manage medium to large size projects independently.
  • Work with resources with diverse roles and personalities across multiple business units, countries, and cultures.
  • Manage complex, cross functional projects as assigned.
  • Assist in identifying appropriate resources needed for a project and develop schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Identify critical capabilities, project resources, budgets and project critical path issues and reports to project sponsors/project team.
  • Ensure project activities and timelines as well as budgets are met.
  • Leverage technical expertise for system / technology / validation, testing and implementation planning.
  • Liaise with project sponsors.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (Information Technology, Computer Science or similar a plus).
  • 8 years Project Management experience, managing technology and security tooling implementations.
  • Expert knowledge best practice security methodology/standards (NIST, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001 & Cyber Essentials) as well as information and security legislation (UK GDPR).
  • Modern technology security practices around services, infrastructure, hosting and platforms.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification.
  • Information Security and/or Information Technology industry certification (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CISSP or equivalent) a plus.
