Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engineering design work packages including specifications, drawings, and assessments.
- Develop Revit models for CS&A and Mechanical Piping elements.
- Ensure designs meet legal, functional, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with CS&A and Mechanical Lead Engineers.
- Deliver safe and operable design solutions in compliance with industry standards.
- Produce technical reports, drawings, layouts, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with stakeholders across various specialist areas.
- Work within an integrated, multi-disciplinary design delivery team.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear.
- Qualified user of Autodesk Revit.
- Experience in producing design deliverables such as technical reports and drawings.
- Knowledge of steelwork design standards (e.g., Eurocode 3, BS5950-1).
- Understanding of steel detailing requirements.
- Familiarity with British and ISO Standards.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in mechanical piping design and relevant standards (e.g., ASME B31.3).
- Minimum HNC qualification; preferred HND in Civil Engineering or similar.
- 5 or more years of design experience.

We have an excellent opportunity for a CS&A Designer (Autodesk Revit) based in Warrington, Cheshire. This can be worked on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in the office. SC Security Clearance is required for this role, so Candidates should be British Citizens with full British Passport, and not have worked outside the UK during the past 5 years.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The successful Candidate will produce engineering design work packages (specification, drawings, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements, along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality. Revit model development of the CS&A and Mechanical Piping elements to be undertaken, with support from he CS&A and Mechanical Lead Engineers.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear sector.
- Experience delivering safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solutions that meet product requirements.
- Qualified and experience user of Autodesk Revit.
- Experience producing design deliverables such as technical reports, technical drawings, layouts, sequence drawings, installation method statements, risk assessments.
- Experience of steelwork design with knowledge of the relevant design standards and legislation e.g. Eurocode 3, BS5950-1.
- Understanding of steel detailing requirements.
- Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable British and ISO Standards.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders across a wide range of specialist areas and at all levels from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Experience working in an integrated, multi-disciplinary design delivery team.
- Ideally experience of mechanical piping design and knowledge of the relevant design standards and legislation e.g. ASME B31.3, PER and PSSR.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum HNC
- Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable Sellafield Practices, Processes, Engineering Standards and Engineering Guides.
- Preferred HND in Civil Engineering or similar, with 5 or more years in Design.
