Job Description Are you thinking about a career in public libraries? Would you like to learn more about the role of a librarian and how to effectively engage with our communities? Do you have a passion for new technologies? If so, Newport Libraries have the role for you through a temporary, full-time placement opportunity. Fully funded by the Welsh government, your role will be to support the Community Engagement Librarian, Digitisation Lead, and Library Manager in creating a geocaching app that enlivens the local histories collection. You will directly engage with members of Newport's diverse populations, hosting creative writing and storytime creation sessions for children, young people, and families. Shadowing and reporting to the Community Engagement Librarian, you will be able to learn firsthand about the role and the potential for a career as a librarian.
