Summary: The role of Civil Engineer involves working with an international engineering consultancy on energy, maritime, building, and infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on drainage and highways for Sizewell C. Candidates must possess site-based experience and be adept at resolving site queries while collaborating with various teams. The position requires both independent and team-oriented work to produce high-quality reports and presentations. A strong background in relevant software and mentoring junior team members is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolving site queries and coordinating design solutions to mitigate delays on site.
- Collaborating between the office-based structural team, the site-based teams, the Contractor teams and the wider Stakeholder teams.
- Working independently and as part of a team to produce reports and presentations to an excellent standard.
- Recording and communicating observations and variations of structural site works as they progress.
Key Skills:
- Drainage and Highways design experience.
- Relevant software experience – Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, Micro-drainage, Info-drainage etc.
- Experience as a Site-Based Engineer, Resident Engineer or Clerk of Works.
- A Bachelor's degree (BEng / BSc) or a Master's degree (MEng / MSc) in a relevant discipline.
- Ability to provide mentoring to more junior team members as a line manager.
Salary (Rate): £60.00/hr
