Summary: We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Part-Qualified Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in Macclesfield. This role is ideal for a CIMA or ACCA studier looking to partner with key business stakeholders and provide critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth. The position involves collaboration with various departments, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the financial performance of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with non-finance departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support commercial initiatives.
- Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Produce insightful variance analysis and commentary on business performance against targets.
- Commercial Support: Evaluate the financial viability of new business proposals, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities, presenting clear recommendations to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting to enhance efficiency and the quality of management information.
Key Skills:
- Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA).
- Demonstrable experience in a commercial finance or management accounting role.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a strong commercial acumen.
- Experience using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau (nice-to-have).
- Previous experience within the FMCG, B2B, Retail, or Manufacturing sectors (nice-to-have).
