Summary: The Azure Software Engineer role involves delivering and integrating cloud-native services for Toyota (GB) PLC, emphasizing autonomy and collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders. The position requires designing scalable cloud solutions and managing production solutions on Microsoft Azure. The contract is for an initial six months and is classified as outside IR35. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and integrate services using Azure Functions, APIM, REST APIs, C#/.NET and JavaScript
  • Develop and support applications using Azure SQL/SQL MI
  • Deliver data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark (Python) and Azure Storage
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using ARM templates (Azure DevOps or GitHub)
  • Support testing, releases, monitoring and production stability
  • Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders, including occasional onsite sessions where required

Key Skills:

  • 3-5 years' experience managing and developing production solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Strong C#/.NET skills with systems integration experience
  • Hands-on experience with Azure integration and data services
  • Proven track record in enterprise or Legacy modernisation programmes
  • Ability to deliver against defined scope, deliverables, and timelines
  • Comfortable working in hybrid, stakeholder-led environments

TLP have been working with Toyota (GB) PLC for over 30 years and are a trusted partner, and we are now supporting them with a contract role.
We are looking for an experienced Azure Software Engineer who enjoys working collaboratively with engineers and business stakeholders, taking full ownership of delivering and integrating cloud-native services across critical business systems. The role emphasises autonomy, outcome-based delivery, and the ability to design and implement scalable cloud solutions across core enterprise platforms.
