Summary: Whitebridge is seeking an AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to facilitate the migration of applications and services for a utilities client. The role requires a strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and cloud-native architectures, with a focus on operational support best practices. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, primarily remote with occasional office visits, and will be engaged through an umbrella company. Immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the application and service migration to a new platform.

Whitebridge is looking for an AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support the application and service migration to a new platform for our utilities client.
Experienced required:
- Understanding of Amazon AWS from an infrastructure/platform perspective and Cloud Native Architectures is essential, knowledge of Microsoft Azure is desirable but not essential.
- A Cloud Certification in either Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux) and Networking Principles.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of operational support best practices and processes.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and the ability to write software scripts in at least one general-purpose programming or Scripting language (for example: Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Strong communication skills to be able to collaborate with teams across the organisation to help support cloud adoption.
The successful applicant should be able to commit to starting ASAP. The role for will be hybrid remote/home-based, with occassional office visits, and will be umbrella based working. Direct applicants only please.
