Summary: The AWS Cloud Developer role at Peraton involves leading the development of cloud-native solutions and infrastructure automation for a federal financial customer. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of migrating and maintaining large complex data flows to modern cloud environments, specifically leveraging AWS cloud technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud service logic using tools such as Python, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation or CDK.
- Develop and deploy event-driven and containerized applications using Lambda, Step Functions, and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Support and enhance COTS products providing file transfer and MQ services (e.g., IBM MQ, Connect: Direct), integrating them into modern AWS architectures.
- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation of AWS environments and deployed solutions.
- Coordinate closely with stakeholders across teams to manage integration and interface requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions using the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments.
Key Skills:

The successful candidate will lead and contribute to cloud-native solution development, infrastructure automation, and the modernization of mission-critical services including file transfer and messaging queue (MQ) platforms in a secure, agile, and innovative AWS environment.
