Summary: The role of Atlassian Solutions Architect involves leading the design and implementation of a centralized enterprise intake and portfolio management platform utilizing Atlassian Cloud tools. The architect will be responsible for creating end-to-end solutions across multiple Jira projects, ensuring executive-level visibility and tracking for large-scale engineering initiatives. The position requires extensive experience in delivering enterprise-wide Atlassian implementations and working closely with executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate will focus on scalable architecture and effective portfolio reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a centralized intake portal for engineering requests (Network Automation, AI/ML, Service Enablement).
- Architect parent-child relationships across multiple Jira projects.
- Standardize intake, triage, prioritization, and execution workflows.
- Establish governance models for intake lifecycle management.
- Build executive dashboards for real-time visibility into intake volume and trends, strategic alignment, delivery progress and health, cross-team dependencies, and capacity vs demand.
- Design portfolio-level KPIs aligned with business outcomes.
- Implement cross-project roll-up reporting across teams and programs.
- Lead architecture and configuration of Jira Software (Cloud), Jira Service Management, Advanced Roadmaps / Jira Roadmaps, and Jira Align (if applicable).
- Develop custom solutions using Atlassian Forge.
- Implement automation rules for workflows, reporting, and notifications.
- Integrate Jira with other enterprise tools using REST APIs.
- Collaborate with VPs, Directors, Product Owners, and Engineering Leaders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Jira solutions.
- Conduct workshops and act as a trusted Atlassian advisor.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Define best practices for Jira configurations, permissions, and data hygiene.
- Provide documentation, training, and enablement for users and admins.
