Summary: A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead for a 6-month contract focused on a major internal Software Transformation Project. The role involves leading Agile delivery, embedding Agile methodologies, and acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. The position is based in Hatfield with a hybrid working arrangement and is classified as inside IR35. An ASAP start is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery and embed Agile ways of working within assigned teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, performing ad-hoc Agile roles as necessary.
- Contribute to the Agile Centre of Excellence and Communities of Practice.
- Manage Agile delivery and adoption (50%), stakeholder engagement and change management (30%), delivery enablement and troubleshooting (10%), and collaboration (10%).
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including DevOps.
- Experience in transitioning teams from waterfall to Agile methodologies.
- Delivery functions experience in a large corporate environment.
- Facilitation and coaching skills in Agile practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Problem-solving mindset to remove delivery blockers.
- Knowledge of change management and cultural transformation.
- Proficient in MS Office product suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Business Management, or related field.
- Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).

The Agile Delivery Lead will work with an area or team(s) within the business and be their delivery owner, leading delivery and embedding Agile ways of working. By leading Agile delivery, the role not only ensures effective delivery, but also transitions teams to Agile ways of working.
The role will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders within their assigned business areas, performing ad-hoc Agile roles (Scrum Master, Coach) as necessary to support delivery and adoption.The Agile Delivery Lead will be part of the Agile Centre of Excellence and Communities of Practice, helping to propagate and grow Agile ways of working.

Knowledge & Key Skills
Strong understanding of Agile principles, team and scaled frameworks including DevOps
Leading the practical adoption of Agile with multiple teams within a large corporate environment
Experience transitioning teams from waterfall to agile ways of working
Experience of delivery functions including project management within a large corporate environment, including working with finance, governance etc.
Facilitation and coaching skills ideally gained by rolling out agile ways of working
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Experience with Agile tools (eg, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Problem-solving mindset and ability to remove delivery blockers
Knowledge of change management and cultural transformation
Able to document process, understand operating model and how to adapt
MS Office product suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field
