Summary: The role of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect involves taking full architectural ownership of a complex, multi-market AEM ecosystem for a global organization in the life sciences/healthcare sector. This senior, embedded position requires driving platform strategy, governance, and engineering uplift across various digital properties. The architect will act as the technical authority, ensuring scalability and sustainability while overseeing production governance. The contract is expected to last 10-12 months and is based on-site in Marlow, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end AEM platform architecture across multiple platforms and markets
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies
  • Act as technical authority and change owner for production releases
  • Guide complex architectural domains including SSO, multi-Front End models, and market inheritance structures
  • Harmonise user experience across a fragmented application landscape
  • Work closely with system integrators and third-party vendors
  • Mentor and uplift internal engineering and architecture capability
  • Improve platform scalability, sustainability, and total cost of ownership

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a senior AEM Architect in enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on architectural capability across AEM (Sites essential; Assets/Forms beneficial)
  • Experience governing production deployments and CI/CD pipelines

We are supporting a global organisation within the life sciences/healthcare space seeking an experienced AEM Architect to take full architectural ownership of a complex, multi-market Adobe Experience Manager ecosystem.

This is a senior, Embedded role where you will drive platform strategy, governance, and engineering uplift across multiple digital properties including web, portal, and education platforms. The environment is enterprise-scale, multi-vendor, and highly visible.

The Role

You will act as the technical authority for AEM, responsible for ensuring scalability, sustainability, and long-term platform optimisation while supporting active delivery and production governance.
