Summary: We are looking for two Senior Software Engineers to enhance a large-scale financial data platform for a leading financial organization. The role requires expertise in SQL Server and experience with both legacy and modern architectures, focusing on API and data service development. Candidates will be instrumental in modernizing core systems and improving performance and reliability. Your new role
We are seeking 2x Senior Software Engineer's o support the ongoing evolution of a large-scale financial data platform. Our environment combines long-established enterprise systems and Legacy components with modern cloud-based services running on AWS. The platform processes high-volume structured data and underpins both internal systems and customer-facing products.
A substantial portion of the platform is built on large SQL Server data estates, so strong SQL expertise is essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising core systems, improving performance and reliability, and delivering scalable services for the next generation of the platform. This role is ideal for engineers who can work confidently across both Legacy and modern architectures, and who have deep experience designing and building robust APIs and data services.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong hands-on experience in a SQL Server-focused role, demonstrating strong technical capability in managing, querying, and optimizing SQL Server environments (70% role is focussed on SQL Server).
- Experience working in environments with Legacy estates/servers.
- Strong programming capability in languages such as Python or C#
- Soldi AWS working knowledge (Lambda, Amazon S3, API Gateway).
- Background in financial services or data-heavy platforms with experience with legacy/modern platforms.
