Summary: We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer/Architect for a freelance contract role focused on delivering next-generation Agentic ERP capabilities on Microsoft Azure. This remote position requires expertise in Azure platform engineering, AI integration, and cloud architecture, with responsibilities that adapt to customer demand. The role involves designing and building secure Azure environments that facilitate AI interactions with enterprise ERP systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement production AI agents using Azure AI Foundry.
- Build retrieval, vector search and knowledge architectures using Azure AI Search, PostgreSQL (pgvector) and Cosmos DB.
- Integrate Azure OpenAI Service into scalable, model-agnostic AI solutions.
- Implement guardrails using Azure AI Content Safety.
- Evaluate and adopt new Azure AI capabilities, including AI Foundry and Copilot technologies.
- Design solutions using Azure Functions, Container Apps, AKS and Logic Apps.
- Build event-driven architectures with Event Grid, Service Bus and Event Hubs.
- Design secure networking using Virtual Networks, Private Link and ExpressRoute.
- Develop API architectures using Azure API Management and Application Gateway.
- Build secure, multi-subscription Azure environments for enterprise customers.
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform and ARM.
- Design Entra ID, Managed Identity and Key Vault strategies.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Position Summary:
We are actively seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer/Architect - Agentic ERP Platform
This is a remote, part time contract opportunity supporting the delivery of next-generation Agentic ERP capabilities on Microsoft Azure. Work is provided on an as-needed basis, depending on customer demand and project requirements.
Reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering, you will design and build the Azure platform that enables AI agents to securely interact with enterprise ERP systems. This role combines deep Azure expertise with modern AI platform engineering, enterprise integration and cloud architecture.
Essential Responsibilities
Azure AI & Platform Engineering:
- Design and implement production AI agents using Azure AI Foundry.
- Build retrieval, vector search and knowledge architectures using Azure AI Search, PostgreSQL (pgvector) and Cosmos DB.
